GLOSSARY:
• BUST=Press seam open.
• RST=Right sides together.
• SA=Seam allowance

1. Line up 14½” sides of outer fabric RST. Sew with ½” SA. Backstitch at both ends. BUST seam.

2. Line up 13½” sides of lining fabric RST. Sew with ½” SA. Backstitch at both ends. BUST seam.

3. Turn outer fabric right side out (leave lining inside out). Place lining inside outer, RST, matching raw edges. Sew around one end with ½” SA. Overlap beginning stitches with ending stitches. This makes a tube.

4. Pull tube so wrong sides of both fabrics are showing. Press SA toward lining.

5.  Push right side of outer to inside of tube so right side of lining is on outside.  Align side seams.  Match raw edges of open end.  Sew with ½” SA.  Finish raw edge with 4-thread serge stitch or 3-step zigzag.
NOTE:  Outer will now wrap to inside of tube by about ½”.
6. Miter bottom by lining up bottom seam to side seam. Press flat. Stitch 1” in from point. Line up bottom to side opposite side seam. Press flat. Stitch 1” in from point.
7. Knot ends of cord. Find center. Position on side seam 1½” down from top edge. Stitch forward and back across cord in line with side seam.
